Jacqueline Allison Dicknoether

January 10, 1960 - July 30, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce that Jaqueline Allison Dicknoether (nee Nicol) passed away July 30, 2026 at Olds Hospital and Care Centre.

She is survived by her husband David, her children, Justin, Christa, and Adam, her son-in-law Jared Walker,
and her five grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ella, Izabelle, Tessa, and Nathan.

She is preceded by her parents, Ray and Marty Nicol, her in-laws, Earl and Doris Dicknoether, her daughter Amanda Walker, brother-in-law Bruce Witwer, and other extended family members.

She was born on January 10, 1960, in Estevan Saskatchewan, the second of six children. Growing up in the city but often visiting her uncle’s farms, she had youth full of experiences and adventures with her sisters and brother. Moving to Red Deer in 1977, she shortly found the love of her life while working with David at a local gas station and the two of them were married in May of 1980. She soon had her first child, Amanda, in 1981 and nine short years later completed her family. In that time, they moved to Olds and put down roots in the community that would extend far and wide as she became involved in their local parish, volunteering with the CWL, and helping with her children at school and their various activities and sports.

Jacqueline cared deeply for her family, always striving to give the best life to her children and grandchildren. After the passing of her daughter, Jaqueline displayed her love and compassion for her family as she spent the following years helping raise Amanda’s children. She will be remembered as a loving mother, aunt, sister and grandmother, an adoring wife, a kind and generous member of her church, and a caring and compassionate person.

Her service is August 13 at 1:00 pm, held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 4302 57th Ave, Olds, AB.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Olds Hospital or Central Alberta Cancer Center.

Arrangements in care of West View Funeral Services 5303 50 Ave, Olds, Alberta.
